Alan Camp comes from a seafaring family near Gravesend, Kent; he decided at an early age to become an architect. He studied at King’s School in Rochester, and went on to obtain a first class honours diploma in architecture at the Canterbury School of Art. Following academic research into colonial modernism and traditional building of West Africa, Alan helped found and run the School of Architecture at the University of Ife, for three years. Upon returning to the UK in the early 1980’s, he helped found Avery Associates with Brian Avery. In 1984, he joined with Francis Machin to form Machin Camp Architects; the company then became Alan Camp Architects in 1992 and more recently ACA Studios. Alan is a keen cook and avid supporter of Arsenal Football Club.

Gurj trained at University of Greenwich between 2000 and 2005 and completed his architectural professional studies at South Bank University in 2006. He joined the practice in 2005 and has been involved in a large range of projects. Gurj has completed the RIBA accredited ‘Principal Designer Role’ 2016 CPD course and follow-up examination to confirm the required level of CDM skills.

Alex trained at Brighton University, where he also completed a post graduate diploma in Interior Design in addition to his architectural qualifications. He is a registered architect and has been working for the practice for over two decades on projects ranging from single houses and restaurants, to £10m+ residential and regeneration schemes.

Alex has extensive managerial and practical experience of the residential sector and has been involved in the construction of several large mixed use schemes to date.

Simon studied at Canterbury and South Bank University, where he specialised in detail and urban design. Whilst studying for his post graduate diploma, he was awarded the Richard Davis Memorial Award for his design, presentation and studio works; he concluded his studies at the Architectural Association. He has been a primary school governor for 10 years and chaired various committees. Having worked within the practice for over 25 years, Simon has developed a specialism for backland sites in both urban and rural settings. Recent projects have included Charlton Riverside, Broadwater Gardens and Eastmoor Street.

Agata studied Architecture and Urban Planning in Bialystok University of Technology in Poland. Her graduation project Sport- Exhibition Arena was awarded ‘Dissertation of 2005’ by a Transport & Construction Minister. Agata joined the practice in 2008. She has worked on various mixed use schemes with private and affordable residential accommodation, from Feasibility through Planning and Construction stages to Practical Completion.

Chris graduated with Distinction from his Masters in Architecture at the University of Kent. With an abundant experience in large scale residential development across London and the Southeast, plus an industry leading capacity to demonstrate and uphold the regulatory compliance of design, Chris has quickly become a fountain of knowledge and education to all whom are lucky to work alongside him. Now a qualified Principal Designer, with a collection of Gateway II approved designs to his built, he continues to demonstrate technical prowess as a valuable team Director.

Throughout his time in practice and university career he had used his technical and methodical mindset on a variety of projects around the globe including: high end residential, commercial, retail, mixed-use and master-planning. Chris completed his Part 3 studies at London Metropolitan University in mid 2016. Specialising in RIBA stages 4 - 6 he has lead a variety of scaled residential and mixed use projects across London and the Southeast with construction totals exceeding £100m+ and providing 1000+ residential units.

Chris studied Architecture at the University of Nottingham and London Southbank University. In addition to many years experience as an Architect working predominantly in the field of social housing, he has also specialised in the application of computers to Architecture. He gained an MSc with distinction in BIM (Building Information Modelling) in 2015 and combines the roles of BIM Manager and Architect at ACA Studios.

Our global dancing designer, Daryll completed his Part 3 at the University of Westminster with Distinction mid-2020; after receiving the Bartlett medal for his innovative material-work and experimental thesis - expressing technical brilliance, hybridising concrete mixtures through sculptures.

Now a key contributor to Gateway II submissions, Daryll is continuing to grow in design and BIM expertise, directing the wider team in everything 'purpose built student accommodation', taking on the newest and most complex of design challenges across the UK. Soon to qualify as a Principal Designer, now with numerous compliance statements and Gateway II approved developments to his roster, Daryll's technical performance continues to expand further across the challenges of the building industry.

His projects continue to great exhbition young community building environments and the proliferation of education - contributing to multiple student residential proposals, community centres and educational facilities across the UK simultaneously. Recently, he has excelled in RIBA stages 3-5, leading a range of mixed-use, larger-scale projects including: high-end mixed-use residential schemes, modern student accommodations, bespoke office retro-fitting and one-off city-wide viewing galleries.

During his career at ACA Studios, Ronald graduated from his Part 3 at London Metropolitan University following the completion of his RIBA Part 1, Part 2 & Masters which were focused on innovative and sustainable design, through the use of technology.

Throughout his time in practice he has demonstrated a mass of talent in delivering projects from RIBA Stages 3 - 6, recently including the award winning, 37 story 'Stage' in the heart of London City, and one-off unique builds within the residential, mixed-use & commercial sectors.

Alex completed his undergraduate studies at De Montfort University, and his post graduate Part III at Westminster University in 2015. Having worked in small architectural offices he has gained extensive experience in high end residential renovation, listed building restoration and bespoke installation designs for public art.

Alongside dealing with contractors and clients to deliver successful architectural projects, he has also managed and built small scale installations as part of a teaching programme working with young people across the UK.

Joining ACA in 2023, Alex continues to bring abundant technical understanding and practical hands-on construction experience to out largest masterplan construction projects, daily leading teams in design, project delivery and upholding design quality.

Helen studied at the University of Portsmouth where she was awarded a RIBA prize for excellence for her thesis design ‘the museum of secrets’. Helen re-joined the practice in 2019 as a part II Architectural Assistant, and subsequently qualified as an Architect at Westminster University. She has a broad experience of residential projects having previously worked through planning and construction stages, now with some of the largest scale, completed flagship constructions across the sea side of the UK.

Monika completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kent in 2016, her passion in residential and mixed-used architecture has led her into getting a Part I role with ACA Studios. After completing her Master’s Degree from the University of Westminster in 2020, she rejoined the practice. Monika has experience working on variety of mixed-use projects including high rise buildings and housing.

Paul has extensive experience of the residential sector as the designer of a wide variety of private, mixed-tenure and social residential schemes. Now we numerous residential developments successfully beyond Gateway II application, his experience in compliant and practical design has been proven abundantly through the most recent complexity of design review and challenge.

His long career in design has encompassed individual houses, stand alone blocks, residential-led mixed-use and large-scale master planning. Paul is experienced in all stages of the architectural process, from feasibility through planning and design intent, to now compliant construction and detailing packages.

Sarah studied at Cardiff University before completing her qualification at the University of Westminster. Sarah has been instrumental in the delivery of a number of mixed use schemes which include Dog Kennel Hill Primary School, Stonelea gardens and Herringham Quarter. More recently she has worked at planning stage on housing association projects and larger private sector residential schemes.

During his career in ACA Studios, Stephen completed his Part 3 studies at Kingston University (2016). Stephen now leads the design developement, demonstartion of compliancy, and management of high end residential developments, simultaneously fulfilling the duties of Project Architect and Lead Consultant.

Throughout his career, he has worked in successfully designed through completed construction: mixed-use schemes, mix tenure residential apartments, private residential dwellings, large retail commercial and creative competition entries. Now a key contributor to Gateway II submissions, Stephen is continuing to grow in design and BIM expertise, supporting the wider team in overcoming the newest and most complex of design challenges.

Anthony has both practical experience both from Hong Kong and China and graduated from University of Nottingham with both RIBA Part 1, MEng (Environmental Design) and MArch with RIBA part 2. University of Nottingham provided him with a diverse and sustainable design as his foundation and with his previous multi-cultural working experience. As a qualified architect, Anthony now leads in very large scale multi-use residential developments in the city.

He has displayed a talent in bespoke detailing, addressing steel frame and clad super structures, respecting Grade Listed facade elements, and the compliant organisation of hundreds of residential unit simultaneously.

Carlos completed diploma with distinction from Kingston University and was nominated for the RIBA Silver Medal submission for both his project and dissertation. Carlos has spent part of his practical experience working abroad in Mauritius where he gained a broad-base of experience on projects of differing scale from one-off houses, to large scale residential and educational developments. Apart from architecture, his first degree was in fine art and worked as a sculptor in London for 7 years

Pavlina studied in Cyprus where she obtained a first class degree. Since working at ACA Studios she has become a key member of the team having provided support for major regeneration projects through to smaller schemes where she has acted as project lead under partner supervision. All the projects Pavlina has worked on are residential led including mixed use projects

Lloyd has been providing management and support to creative industries since 2008, initially touring the UK with a girl band.  Since then, he has graduated to the world of antiques, interior design and architecture and offers a steady head for figures and processes in this field.

Lloyd joins the team as studio and finance manager.

Frank Graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2021 with his Masters degree, and qualified as an Architect just one year after. He has a keen interest and clear expertise in housing design with numerous scales of residential development now built under his watch.

He has experience on a varying scale of residential and mixed use development schemes predominantly on RIBA stages 2-5 - excelling in the project lead and detailing challenges that our architectural team must overcome daily.

Laura first joined ACA Studios as a student in 2017. She has since gained years of experience in design and construction, desigining projects ranging across numerous sectors and massive scales: from a countryside villa’s garage to complex mixed use, residential masterplan developments.

After studying at the University of Trieste, Italy, Laura graduated with a thesis focused on the poetic significance of architecture as a time machine. During her studies, obtaining the Erasmus international scholarship allowed her to spend an inspiring academic year at the ENSAS in Strasbourg, France.

Laura is one of our highly motivated ARB registered Architects, striving to design, together with her team, beautiful and practical architecture.

After gaining his Part I diploma from the University of Kent, Marcello moved to London to study at London Metropolitan University for his Part 2 and finally at the University of Westminster for Part 3. Before joining ACA Studios, his work experience included mostly residential architecture and ranged from a small house extension in Reading to a 900-unit residential scheme in Stratford, London. Outside of work, he enjoys the many cultural activities the capital has to offer, such as museum visits, classic film screenings and music concerts.

After graduating from The University of Technology, Department of Architecture in Wroclaw and postgraduate studies at Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Piotr gained his architectural qualifications. Piotr worked on variety of schemes ranging from luxury interiors to large-scale hypermarkets in Poland prior to his works in the UK. Piotr joined in 2006 after three years working at Andrew Scott Associates in north London. He has achieved planning approvals for several large mixed use developments including Amelia Street and Copeland Road but has also worked on numerous small, infill sites with complex constraints.

Richard started his career as a technician with Bovis Homes and went on to study at the University of Greenwich Whilst completing his studies part time Richard worked on a variety of schemes for major national retailers as well as one off private houses. Upon gaining his part III Richard decided to specialise in residential and mixed use schemes and has spent over 10 years delivering affordable led schemes in and around London at all RIBA stages. Richard has worked on a number of projects at ACA Studios from major regen schemes to smaller construction projects on site.

Yvonne finished her Part I undergraduate degree at Canterbury School of Architecture (UCA) before completing her Part II studies and Part III professional qualification at University of Westminster. She has bountiful experience with residential, mixed-use, and commercial design, renovations of grade-listed buildings and parametric design of various size and scope.

She has also developed broad experience working on international commercial and masterplan projects, previously as a Design Manager. Yvonne has a keen interest in ecological and sustainable design and has dedicated herself to the exploration of socio-economic issues surrounding urban architecture, now leading project through construction towards the most effective and optimised design solutions.

Agata studied architecture and urban planning at Poznan University of Fine Arts, Warsaw University of Technology and spent a semester at Stanford University participating in the AEC Global Teamwork project. During her studies she was awarded the Golden Distinction for the best student at the Poznan University of Fine Arts. Before joining ACA Studios, she gained professional experience working in medium-sized architectural studios in Dublin and Poznan. She was involved in the design and construction phases, in both construction formulas: Construction Management and General Contractor. Agata has experience as a coordinator of industrial and commercial projects. She is interested in circular architecture and residential space standards.

Aleksandra studied Architecture and Urban Planning in West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, Poland. After serval years of work on mixed use residential shames in Poland she moved to the UK in 2016, to get her experience in a different architecture environment. Aleksandra joined ACA studios in 2023 after working for a variety of projects including high end residential, retail, hospitality and Spa.

Alex completed his Part 2 at the University of Greenwich. His working experience in the industry started in 2014 when he was assigned by University of Portsmouth Project Office to design community projects and was awarded by RIBA members for best sustainable design project. His professional experience includes a variety of projects across Europe, from high-end residential to mixed use schemes and bridge design.

Alex qualified with her Part I Undergraduate degree at the University of Kent in 2017 and went on to practice in bespoke residential housing projects. She achieved her Part II Master’s degree at the University of the West of England in 2021, whilst living in Bristol. Now a fully qualified Architect during her time at ACA Studios, she has advanced onto high value residential projects, benefitting from her past work in specialist care and dementia projects across the UK. Alex is steadily expanding her architectural knowledge, playing as a key contributor to Gateway II documentation, creating beautiful places and taking on greater lead responsibilities within projects across the practice.

Charlotte graduated in 2023 with Distinction from her Masters in Architecture at Manchester School of Architecture, and completed her undergraduate at the University of Liverpool. During her master’s thesis she collaborated with communities impacted by the housing crisis, and so is eager to play a role in developing social housing. Her previous professional experience was in large scale modular residential projects and since qualifying as an Architect during her time at ACA Studios, she has further grown, leading projects into construction, played as a key contributor to Gateway II documentation, excelling in the design of affordable housing and purpose built student accommodation.

Giulia completed her Part I undergraduate degree in architecture at Kingston School of Art and subsequently finished her Part II in 2023 at London Metropolitan University. Her experience encompasses a wide range of projects, including small to medium-scale residential projects, mixed-use schemes, and the renovation of existing buildings. Giulia holds a strong passion for sustainable design and the reuse of materials, which she extensively explored in various projects during her master’s program.

She is enthusiastic about pursuing her architectural interests and expanding her knowledge and experience at ACA, particularly in the areas of affordable housing and large-scale residential projects. Outside of the office, Giulia is notorious world-wide for her DJ and musical performance, captivating international audiences annually.

Jade graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a master’s degree specialising in sustainable eco-friendly architectural design. With a wealth of professional experience, her portfolio encompasses a spectrum of small private residences, to extensive mixed-use residential-led masterplans, covering both new build and refurbishment projects in a fruitful productive career. Her keen focus on the social and environmental repercussions of architectural design underscores a commitment to holistic design principles.

Outside of architecture, she enjoys digital illustration and life drawing. Now a qualified architect, recently completing Part III during her time at ACA studios, she is rapidly growing as a competent practitioner, playing as a key contributor to Gateway II documentation, taking on greater responsibilities across a wide range of projects in the practice.

John completed his Part 1 degree in Architecture in 2019 and soon after finished his Part 2 at De Montfort University in 2021. After working with multiple small to medium scale residential projects covering renovations, extensions, and new builds. John pursues in working with larger scale projects and to expand his knowledge in different fields of Architecture. Joining ACA Studios in 2024, John is keen on gaining further experience more aligned with his goals, and to create a positive impact on the urban scape.

Lukasz moved to the UK in 2007, soon after graduating from Technical University in Lodz. Since then, he has 17 years of continuous industry experience working both on design and construction.

His experience includes many large scale, retail led town centre regenerations and mixed use residential schemes. Over the past four years he worked on high rise office buildings in central London. Recently he relocated to Poland and joined ACA Warsaw branch.

Stephen graduated from Curtin University in 2017 with his undergraduate degree in Architecture.

After working in local housing authorities in Hong Kong for serval years specialising in large-scale public housing development, he decided to continue his studies in Architecture.

He relocated to the UK and completed his RIBA Part II at Oxford Brookes University in 2021. He has interests in affordable social housing and large-scale residential, mixed-use, and urban planning projects. He joined ACA Studios to broaden his practical experience in different architectural environments.

Apart from architecture, Stephen is a Coffee Enthusiast and Scotch Whisky Lover.

Carina graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2022 with her undergraduate degree in Architectural Technology. During her final year she worked on sustainable approaches for theatre buildings and the importance of acoustics for those spaces.

She joined ACA Studios, broadening her practical experience and expanding her knowledge in BIM using Revit in design. She is daily working on large scale projects in construction, contributing to detailing, and parametric scheduling, looking forward to learning more about the technical design of mixed-use residential and commercial buildings. In the future, she plans to perform in sustainability, and the built environment, continuing to develop skills in the industry.

Martina graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2022 with an undergraduate degree of Architectural Technology. During her studies, she really enjoyed learning about the design and building process. At ACA Studios, she is currently working on two large-scale mixed-use projects, developing bespoke detailings and overcoming challenging quality and facade material proposals. In the near future, she plans to complete her chartership, develop her skills further and explore avenues within the built industry.

Philippa studied Architectural Technology at Coventry University and graduated in 2021. She carried out a placement year with ACA Studios, returning after finishing her final year of university. Philippa has experience working on variety of large scale mixed use projects and thrives as a key contributor to the detailed design to construction stages of ACA projects across the country.

Louis graduated from University of Brighton in 2022 with his undergraduate degree in Architecture. Now at ACA Studios, Louis aims to develop his knowledge of the industry by working on a range of projects in terms of use and scale and understanding how they develop throughout each RIBA stage. He is keen to learn more about BIM software and construction detailing with a view of completing his Masters in the near future.

Roxy graduated from the University of Westminster in 2023 with her undergraduate degree in Architecture. During her time at ACA Studios, Roxy has developed her knowledge of the industry, collaborating with architects and developers on a wide array of projects. She is actively developing her professional knowledge, proceeding with university study, and enthusiastically learning more about BIM applications - with a view of completing her part 2 in the near future.

Sabrina graduated from De Montfort University in 2022 with her undergraduate degree in Architecture. She joined ACA Studios to continue developing her knowledge with valuable experience in challenging residential planning design. She now collaborates on various different projects, gaining experience in the mixed-use residential and commercial sectors daily. Sabrina enjoys learning and is eager to develop her own unique architectural style further, through innovative planning proposals - going on to completing her part 3 and becoming an architect in the future.

Benjamin graduated from the University of Cape Town in South Africa, having recently completed his Part 1 equivalent qualifications in Architecture. He spent his first professional year working with numerous high-end residential architecture firms in Cape Town, gaining invaluable experience in design, draftsmanship and project delivery. Since joining the London office of ACA Studios, Ben has progressed into further developing his knowledge of the modern design industry, working directly on a range of high quality purpose built student accomodation and residential projects across the city. He is now actively building upon his knowledge, technical experience, and rapidly learning industry applicable BIM software - with a view to completing his Part 2 in the very near future.
