The first Phase of the project, known as ‘Free Wharf Twenty-One,’ comprises 137 apartments designed for affordable housing. Phase Two will comprise an additional 145 apartments, featuring a mix of rented and shared ownership tenures.
This impressive waterside scheme, situated on the mouth of the River Adur, will deliver 550 homes to the local community including commercial space. Phase One encompasses the design and build of 137 affordable homes comprising 40 rental properties and 97 shared ownership alongside commercial space on the ground and first floors. Shared facilities will include a communal garden terrace area, parking and bike storage. Designed using BIM, the scheme will be constructed using both traditional and modern methods of construction.
A dedicated Community Resilience Officer will be jointly employed by HG and SHG to support new tenants, homeowners and drive local community initiatives.
